Collection includes chiefly photographs collected by the Chappelka family, including family photographs, including portraits of family and friends, fishing, camping, and swimming at the beach; aerial photographs; and the France Apartment building.
Arthur Sr. was vice president of a manufacturing company in Cleveland before moving to Stuart in 1935. He, wife Minnie, and sons Bud and Jimmy lived at the France Apartments and then at 729 St. Lucie Crescent in 1940. Son "Bud" graduated from Stuart High School in 1940 before serving in the Navy in WWII, owned Chappelka Boat Service, and worked as a crane operator with several companies.
