Martin County Birthday Celebration, January 1926

In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on the 28th and 29th of January 1926.

Governor John Wellborn Martin attended as a special guest and spoke. A parade, over two miles long with more than 2000 marchers and 500 automobiles and floats. A barbeque offered five tons of beef and pork to feed over five thousand visitors.
