Published in the Stuart News (20 March 1952) with the caption: "Miss Patricia Berry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Berry of Stuart, was crowned Martin County High School's 'Miss Music of 1952' as the feature event of a music queen contest-ending variety show at the school Friday night. Votes were 1 cent each and the girl gaining the most financial support was determined as the winner. Proceeds from the queen contest campaign totaled $981.29 and go to the band for spring trip expenses. The eight candidates were (left to right) Joyce Harrell, Jeannette Benson, Nancy Johnson, Miss Berry, Pat DeWageneire, Anna Mae DeLoach, Jane Morrison, and Sally Backus. John Fulton was contest manager." -
