Villa Zorayda, c. 1900
Description
Front view of the Villa Zorayda house located in St. Augustine, Florida. Frank W. Smith built this Moorish Revival style winter home in 1883. In the early 1900s, the building became a restaurant and social club and later during the 1920s, it was turned into a casino and speakeasy. Abraham Mussallem also used the building as a home before turning it into a museum in 1933.
