View of Perkins Estate and Frazier Creek with many palm trees lining the waterfront. The house was built originally for Hubert and Susan Bessey around 1905. George W. Perkins purchased the home in 1910 and added on to it, making the house into a large estate. The house was purchased by William Shepard in 1923 and it was destroyed by a fire during the 1940s. Eventually, the land was bought by the city and turned into a park.
