    It is assumed that Louis McFarlan was the photographer of this collection of glass plate negatives, since the plates were in his possession at the time of his death and inherited by his son. At the son's death in 1982, the collection was purchased with his estate by Robert Swayne of West Chester, then purchased again in 2011 by Mike Beatty of Chester, Pennsylvania, then sold on eBay to Stuart Heritage Museum in 2012.
