Col. Henry Savage's yacht docked at the St. Lucie Yacht Club. Handwritten on back: "Savage's boat docked from New York City, 1924." Henry Savage filmed his 1916 Robinson Crusoe film in the Stuart area. Savage also owned a winter home called "Two Rivers" on Sewall's Point. -

It is assumed that Louis McFarlan was the photographer of this collection of glass plate negatives, since the plates were in his possession at the time of his death and inherited by his son. At the son's death in 1982, the collection was purchased with his estate by Robert Swayne of West Chester, then purchased again in 2011 by Mike Beatty of Chester, Pennsylvania, then sold on eBay to Stuart Heritage Museum in 2012.
